Currently, I am busy writing the term paper of strategic management and Marketing Plan of product management. These assignment let me feel better and feel worse.

The good is that I can learn how to organize the Marketing plan and strategic plan, especially in product innovation and strategy decision. In contrast, It give me a sorrowful feeling. I have different background of education which combine with businesss, engineer, and information technology, also have nice career expericnces. However, I can't find a good job in U.S.A. Although I have some interviews and a jog offer of chinese company, I still feel bad and Frustrated. In addition Reccently, Some companies of Taiwan ask me when will be back to Taiwan and They will give me a job offer in Taiwan. Suddenly, a question get out of my mind.  Go Hard or Go Home? I seem to face the vital choice of my life. After I came to SIU, I already lost my direction and goal of my life. I feel that I lost my social and career networking also missed some opportunities cost.  My goal is not to advance but go back. I afraid to make any decision bucause I don't lose any thing. Sad to say, It become my weakness and trobule. Stay In U.S, I can't find my favorite job. Go back to Taiwan, I will fall in a situation that worse than before I left. I am in a dilemma as to whether to go or stay. God, could you give me a sign?

Recnetly, I am busy studying and looking for the Job. I forgot that I will graduation ceremory on december 15, 2007. I suddenly remembered that I hadn't announce the intent to vacuate for appartment of campus. So, I want to campus apartment office and signed the check out requirement that will move out on 12/31/2007. therefore, I start to countdown Two months and enjoy the last two months stay in Southern Hills of SIU.

Also, I forgot to order my cap and gown for graduation ceremory that will charge more 20 drs. ><" That's too bad. I need to pay 65 Drs. for it. Anyway, it is worthful 'cause that is my first join graduation ceremory in USA. However, there have lots homework and trem project waiting for me to do. I might stay at home and do it for whole thanksgiving break. I wish  tomorrow is december 15, 2007. ^^

 

 

Today, I got a message for recruiting center of Caterpillar because I want to Peoria for Caterpillar's interview last Tuesday. I remembered that too many people want to there for interview also they said they quite few offer sponsorship for international employee. Therefore, I thought I was denied and they might not call back again. Fortunately, today they called back again and told to me that I should prepare the I-20, F1 visa, EMD OPT licence, and passport for the second time interview and testing. They said they will no any position at spring 2008, so I should collect these files and make the second time interview as soon as posslibe. I will miss the opportunity for this year.However, I still wait for my OPT licence. I hope it could coming soon. Anyway, I very glad and hope I can pass the second time interview.

I just finished the Telephone inertview. I am very sad because I was rejected. This morning, I woke up early and parpare for the interview. I wrote down lots answer of general interview question and pratice my speaking. At 9:00 AM, I got the phone and feel good because the lady spaking is more slowly. She asked a lot questions and I thought My answer was very good and I used lots my experiences as the example. However, when she ask me about do you have any question for they comapny, I asked that do you offer sponsorship of employment visa. She anwsered sorry our this program don't support sponsorship so you don't fit this position. ><"~~~~
But, She said she will send my resume to others department that might support sponsorship. If she find out any position is fit for me she will let me know. Though I know these words just consolation and she might never call back, I still very happy that I have a grateful telephone interview. Because this is my first time telephone interview by English. I believe I will do it better next interview. Never give up you can I a great job in USA.

Today, I call back and they want make a telephone interviwe for me. I so happy and nervous because I never have a telephone interview, not to mention English telephone interview. I am very worry about tomnorrow telephone interview. Base on the phone call of Today, The lady's speaking speed is very fast. I asked her that give me her email address and I want to she spell out the email address. However, she just said the words. I also send my detail resumes and transcripts to her in order to prove my motivation and passion. Anyway, I hope I will have a wonderful telephone interview tomorrow. God please give me a magic power for cover my poor englich speaking.

10/12 Caterpillar Interview on Campus. That day was very cold only 49 degree at the morning.

I woke up at 6:00 AM because my schedule is at 8:30 to 9:30 am. I felt so tire since I have a sleeplessness last night. 

I bear the fatigue and nervous and go to school. In order to suber myself up, I decide go to Starbucks and get a carmel makiyado.

I am first person for interview so I arrived in woody hall at 8:30. However, I wait for 40 mins and met my interviewers. They are two peope, one is black lady and another one is white man. They look like friendly and I met the man before in job fair.  At first glance, the black lady look like very serious and the man looks like easygoing. In fact, it is contrary. She is very nice and her speaking speed is very good for me. she asked lots structure question which means is the questions format is very normal in interview such as what is your best class and worse class. I did a good job in part one and expect next session still as good as before.

At part two, I felt very good at beginning and we spent a lot time in some questions. However his speaking speed become fast and fast, I guess he want finish it fast and interview next person. So, I starting got a dazzled and don't know what i am said. my mood plunge down because I felt I can't answer very well.  Finally, I took 1hr and 20 mins. I felt it is a good chance that give me a good education for interview. I thought I will do it better next time.

I hope I have a chance go to Peoria which is headquarter of Caterpillar.

 

 

 

 

    Today, I woke up at 7:00 am and go to renwe the parking decal. Because I got a violation parking ticket. It cost me 35 dollars. Although I had a bad mood, I still need to pay it. therefore, I go to the parking service center for renew the decal.

    After that, I decide go to career service center and sign up an interview schedule since I received an interview inviation letter from IT dapartment of Caterpillar Inc. It let me had a sleeplessness on yeeterday night.

    When I stop by career service center, I met the associate director who is call cindy. she help me to sign up and call the Caterpillar for comfrim the detail. That was my frist time to feel SIUC staff is so kindness. The problem is coming, I need put a time slot for interview and I am frist to select the schedule. I really don't know how to choose. Cindy tell to me the frist one is best however some it will become worse if you don't parpare well. therefore, I put in 8:30 to 9:30 on 10/12. I also make a  appointment of Mock interview(interview simulation) on monday morning for practice.

    Today is my lucky day, about at 10:30am, I got a phone call by other department of Caterpillar which is mechanical engineering departmant. She want make a interview appointment with me. However, I talk with she by my poor english because I am too nervous and happy.  Thsi is my frist time have a interview in USA and they happen in the same day. I can't believe it how lucky I am. But the second interview is very tough. I need have a 4 hours drive trip and espend 8 hours deal with the test, interview, and maintenance mechanic test.
